A BIG THANK YOU to all who helped host our friends from Virginia!!

We had a great week with them. They had a successful sports camp for the kids in the community, built a new sound booth in the youth room, installed some cabinets in the copier room, did some electrical work and completely rewired the mess of a phone system we had. They were such a blessing to us.

Thanks to everyone who brought and prepared food and helped out in many ways. Thanks to the cooking team, led by Wes Kesler, that fried the halibut. That was an amazing meal on Sunday.

It was a very successful week…Thank You.

Vacation Bible School


Mega BIG THANKS to our two volunteers to help Pastor Kelly at Vacation Bible School. Thank you Mae Dunsing, Noah Vaden and Isaac Baugher. We know that we have lots of working adults in our congregation, but if you are available, there remains a BIG need!
Summer Vacation Bible School...Pandamania!

August 1 - 5

9am - Noon
Age 4 - 5th Grade
Methodist Church with Two stations at Assembly of God
A wild celebration of God's unconditional love! At PandaMania VBS, kids will discover that God has a purpose and a plan for everyone and that he crafted each of us with his own loving hands.

There are specific needs that we'd like to ask for help from our congregation:

1. Someone to help at the check in and registration table on Monday morning, August 1.
2. A crossing guard adult to help in the transition between the churches for stations.
3. Crew Leaders for each station.....which means going with groups of children to all five stations..snack, Bible Adventure time, games, Chadder's movie time, and crafts - helping with supervision and helping the station leader in whatever is needed. We always do need more help with the younger children, too.
4. There are some ITEMS that are needed:
Artificial vines, leaves, flowers to go with our Panda theme to help with our decorating the sanctuary.
2 10x25 rolls of light-weight black plastic
15 long cardboard tubes ( paper towel rolls or wrapping paper rolls)
volleyball net and set up
